Creating a younger look for a client takes time as not all the treatments can be done on the same day.
Why A Face & Neck Makeover Takes More Than One Day
If you place a photograph of your face ten years ago you'll notice the difference in the face shape, length and how certain areas have aged. We can treat many of these issues but the treatments may need to be spaced and used carefully in combination.
An example is that dermal fillers and botox should only be used after a non surgical face lift with HIFU. If used the other way around it can affect the fillers and anti wrinkle injections.
Here's a photograph of Kim when we began with her makeover.
In the photo on the left you can see her face is elongated. This happens as we age as we lose collagen and fat in the face. The fat pads in the cheeks separate and shrink so the skin is slack. It is this that creates jowls.
The jawline retracts and our gums recede so the mouth sinks.
These actions cause us to look older.
To give Kim a more youthful look we used HIFU for a non surgical face and neck lift. This treatment renews collagen in the SMAS layer of the skin. It is the same layer a cosmetic surgeon works in with a surgical face lift.
What HIFU do we use on a face or body?
HIFU will not tighten skin to the same degree as a surgical facelift but as each generation of cosmetic HIFU machine is developed, the results improve dramatically. The old 3D HIFU doesn't give the same results as the 7D. 7D has a specific cartridge that can be used around the eyes.
Using a 7D HIFU means we can be very focused on specific areas using a range of cartridges to ensure we are only introducing ultrasound to a certain depth. We put a certain number of 'shots' in each area eg: the cheeks will receive more shots than the upper lip.
We use a different HIFU machine for body sculpting and skin tightening on the body. It's a 4D CoolHIFU. It allows us to deliver ultrasound faster on a larger area like the tummy. This means we can deliver more shots in a larger area in little time eg: A full tummy HIFU can be done in 15 minutes.
The left photograph is a few days after HIFU. We always see little changes right after the treatment and here Kim's nasolabial lines softened and the brows started to lift.
The photograph on the right is three weeks after hifu non surgical face and neck lift and botox (forehead, crowsfeet, frown lines). Dermal fillers were used to further smooth the nasolabial folds, marionette lines and lips.
The photos on the right show how the under the chin skin has been tightened and lifted as the collagen has formed over several weeks.
The chin is less prominent and if you look at the final photos you'll see the chin has reduced.
As we age our lips appear thinner. Kim only wanted a little lip filler as she didn't like the 'smokers' lines even though she'd never smoked.
Once she'd seen the effect of a little lip filler and it had settled, she asked if we could make them a little more full. It looks gorgeous!

If you are thinking of having a non invasive face lift please check the therapists experience and qualifications. They should be at least a Level 4 beauty therapist with Anatomy & Physiology. They also need a certification to show they are trained to use the HIFU machine. Also ask if they are specifically insured to use HIFU on clients to make sure that your treatment is covered.
