The treatments menu can appear daunting if you're not familiar with fat reduction and shaping therapies.
Here's an explanation of the terms used:
Cool Sculpting - the use of mixed therapies to 'sculpt' the body. Therapies used include Fat freezing, cavitation, radio frequency and HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound)
Fat Freezing - fat reduction through the use of cryotherapy where a vacuum 'cup' is used to gather excess fat in a specific body area and then freeze it. The freezing time is around 45 minutes and up to 40% of the fat cells in the 'cup' will be destroyed and leave your body as waste in the following weeks. We can freeze 4 body areas in one session.
Cavitation - is a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that uses ultrasound technology to reduce fat cells in targeted parts of the body. It is effective but slower in results than fat freezing. Both treatments are painless and non invasive.
Radio Frequency - a treatment that has become increasingly popular in recent years and uses RF energy to heat the dermis and tighten the skin without damaging the top layer.
HIFU - high intensity focused ultrasound. Originally used in medical procedures, HIFU has now been developed for the beauty industry. It is excellent for non invasive, painless treatments to reduce fat, stimulate collagen regeneration causing the skin to tighten and lift giving a more youthful look.
So how do you decide which treatment would benefit you most?
HIFU is a great way to lift and tighten and at the same time reduce fat. We recommend it highly as you see instant results in days instead of months. The biggest plus of HIFU is that it stimulates collagen renewal which means your skin will continue to improve over months lasting up to 12 - 18 months.
We love using HIFU after fat freezing as after the fat has been frozen, up to 40% of the fat cells in the area frozen will die and leave the body as waste. This can result in sagging skin where the fat once sat. Each person responds differently with some sagging more than others. HIFU is perfect to use immediately after fat freezing to get that collagen working asap to pull the skin up again giving a much better result!
We also love HIFU for non surgical face, neck and chest lifts as well as for the back of hands, around knees (those ones you can see little faces in...), fatty hip pads, muffin tops, inner thighs and upper arms (bye-bye arms).
Cavitation is an older treatment but still very good to help with fat reduction as it weakens the fat cell membrane making the fat cells to burst over time and leave the body. It's not as fast as Fat freezing but it is used by us to weaken fat cells prior to fat freezing to ensure more fat cells are destroyed during fat freezing.
Radio Frequency is great to help with cellulite and smoothing the skin. It assists skin tightening but is slower than HIFU.
